Mina Choi

Founder & Director

Mina Choi is a Korean American who grew up in Dallas, Texas. Over the past 20+ years she has been pursuing the two great passions in her life – the organ and mentoring young people. Mina received her Bachelor’s degree in music from the Royal College of Music in London; Master’s degree from Yale University; and Doctoral degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her studies in music are also supplemented with M.Div at Princeton Theological Seminary, along with many years’ experience of training young people through her leadership at SET. Over the years, God has spoken to Mina specifically about equipping the next generation leaders in the Korean diaspora churches in Europe. For the past 17+ years, she has pioneered and invested in equipping Korean-European Youth through Benelux Youth Retreats and Youth Kosta Europe, and has also served as a youth minister for 4 years at the Korean Church of Amsterdam. Following God is an adventure! Mina has traveled to more than 50 countries, has friends from all over the world. More than anything, though, she loves Jesus and strongly believes in young people and how God is using them to advance God's Kingdom.

She currently works at the Princeton Theological Seminary (NJ), and she has been serving at Doylestown Presbyterian Church (PA, USA) for the past 10 years. Previously, Mina served at Messiah University (PA, USA) as Student Ministries Pastor for 4 years and at La Salle University (Philadelphia, USA) as Campus Minister for 2 years. She is an ordained pastor (PCUSA).

텍사스 달라스에서 자란 한국계 미국인 최미나 목사는 지난 20년 동안 삶의 두 가지 열정 - 오르간과 다음 세대를 세우고 멘토링하는 것에 대한 열정을 가지고 살았습니다. 런던 왕립음악대학 (Royal College of Music) 에서 학사 학위를 받고 예일대학교 (Yale University)에서 석사 학위를 University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign에서 박사 학위를 받았습니다. 음악 공부 뿐만 아니라 프린스턴 신학교에서 신학 석사를 하고 SET사역을 통해 다음 세대를 훈련하는 경험을 쌓았습니다. SET사역을 통해 하나님께서 특별히 유럽 한인 디아스포라 교회의 다음 세대를 세우는 마음을 주셨습니다. 지난 20년 동안 최미나 목사는 베네룩스 청소년 수련회와 유럽 유스 코스타에서 사역하면서 한국계 유럽인들을 훈련시켰고 네덜란드 화란 한인교회에서 4년간 중고등부 사역을 섬겼습니다.

현재 프린스턴 신학교에서 섬기고 있으며, 미국 Doylestown Presbyterian Church (PA, USA)에서도 10년째 오르간 연주자와 청소년 음악 사역의 리더로 섬기고 있습니다. 프린스턴 신학교에 오기전에는 La Salle University (PA, USA) 에서 2년, 메시야 대학 (PA, USA)에서 4년동안 교목으로 대학생들을 섬기는 사역을 하였습니다. 최미나 목사는 미국 장로교에서 목사 안수를 받았습니다.

Jena Chung

Jena is a 2nd generation Korean Austrian. She grew up in the beautiful city Vienna where she studied medicine. After finishing the training to become a general practitioner, she now lives in Linz and works as a pediatric resident.

“The first time I attended SET was in 2016 through Pastor Mike’s invitation. Through SET God showed me how he sees me and how much he loves me just the way I am. This truth made me fully free. I decided to follow Jesus and SET challenges me a lot on this journey.

By serving SET I committed myself to be part of God's vision to raise up his disciples among the young generation of Korean diaspora. I am full of expectations what God will do to revive Europe and other parts of the world through the young spiritual leaders."

저는 오스트리아에 살고 있는 정예나입니다. 비엔나에서 자랐고 의대를 졸업했습니다. 가정의학과 수련을 마치고 나서 지금은 린쯔라는 도시에서 소아과 전공의로 일하고 있습니다.

저는 2016년에 마이크 목사님의 초대로 SET에 처음 참석하게 되었습니다. 그 시간을 통해 하나님께서 저를 어떻게 보시는지 그리고 제 모습 그대로 얼마나 사랑하시는지 알게 되었습니다. 이 진리가 제게 진정한 자유를 주었습니다. 저는 예수님을 따르기로 결심했고 SET는 그 여정 중에 제게 많은 도전을 줍니다. 한인 디아스포라의 다음 세대를 예수님의 제자로 세우는 하나님의 비전에 참여하기 위해 SET를 섬기게 되었습니다. 하나님께서 유럽과 세상에 부흥을 일으키기 위해 다음 세대의 영적 리더들을 어떻게 사용하실지 정말 기대됩니다.

Sung Hyun grew up in Germany as a 1.5 generation. He lives in Germany and is a student at the Technical University of Berlin.

"SET changed my perspective on life and gave me a heart that is eager to live along God's path. It taught me how to serve others with love and humility. Most of all, it has given me the heart to accompany and support teenagers and young adults in their encounter with God and in their walk of discipleship. I look forward to and pray for God's plan for the land of Europe through the Korean Diaspora."

저는 독일에 살고 있는 이성현입니다. 독일에서 1.5세로 자랐고 베를린 공대에 재학 중입니다.

SET는 저의 삶의 관점을 바꾸었고 저에게 하나님의 길을 따라 살기 열망하는 마음을 주었습니다. 다른 이들을 사랑과 겸손으로 섬기는 법을 가르쳐 주었습니다. 무엇보다도 제게 청소년들과 젊은 청년들에게 하나님을 만나가는 과정과 제자의 길을 걸어갈 때 같이 동행하고 지지하고자 하는 마음을 주셨습니다. 한인 2세들을 통해 유럽 땅을 향한 하나님의 계획을 기대하고 기도합니다.
